Some people would question the logic behind spending over £50,000 on a used car, but then again the used cars I am talking about aren’t just any normal cars. Prestige and luxury used vehicles are a arguably a cut above the models that you would normally see crowding a dealer’s forecourt, but the same concerns still apply regardless of the badge on the front of the vehicle.
These concerns include; how the car has been driven by the previous owner, is there a full service history and has it ever been involved in any kind of serious accident. So regardless of how much money you are spending, you do have to ask a lot of questions when you are searching for a used car.
The prestige used car market is awash with used Bentleys, Jaguars, Maseratis and all manner of cars that would reduce your average car fanatic into a drooling mess. Believe it or not these used models are a great deal cheaper than the equivalent new models regardless of mileage. This is due to prestige vehicle depreciation which makes the price of a luxury vehicle drop at an astonishing rate. This is because dealers find it harder to sell prestige cars as opposed to regular, more reasonably price cars.
One of the better second hand prestige cars available on the market at the moment happens to be Used Bentley models. Although the initial price tag may seem hefty, it is normally a vast reduction on the original price quoted by dealers.

Bentley dealers are living in the best of times. With most watching a rise in sales, the company is becoming more and more prosperous. Most Bentley dealers have watched their Continentals fly off the showroom floor and many dealers have already filled their allotment of Mulsannes until 2011.
With the addition of the Continental model, Bentley has seen a dramatic rise in its global sales. The list of models available from your local Bentley dealers are vast and diverse. The Continental alone has three different configurations and a couple different trims. As of today these dealers are selling the normal Continental GT coupe. A long two-door coupe, the GT comes with a twin-turbo 6.0L W-12 engine that produces a mighty 552 horsepower. Bentley also offers the GT Mulliner, which is basically the tried-and-true Continental GT with some cosmetic touches.
It also offers two major body styles for the Continental that are considered entirely different models. The Continental GTC is a GT with its top chopped off and a convertible top installed. The Continental Flying Spur is a four-door version of the infamous coupe. Both come standard with the 552-hp 6.0-liter W-12.
The Speed is is a trim package available across the whole Continental lineup. The Speed trim is designed to offer better performance over the regular cars. This is via a revised W-12 engine that now produces 600 horsepower and a sportier suspension to help keep the Bentley planted in the corners.
The Arnage is a four-door sedan that has been sitting in the showroom for some time now. Although not in any way a bad car, the Arnage is still older than any other model in their current lineup. The Arnage comes in a couple different variations. The Arnahge T is the performance model while the Arnage R is the luxury model. The Arnage will be replaced by the Mulsanne in 2010. Continue Reading

Bentley was founded by vehicle enthusiast Walter Owen Bentley, in partnership with his brother in 1919 in England. Their initial cars and trucks ended up built obtainable in 1921, about a year afterwards than it turned out expected to get launched. The business was usually lacking funds which led W.O. Bentley to make the choice to seek the help of millionaire Woolf Barnato which sooner or later, this lead to Barnato owning the firm and generating him chairman with the board.
Bentley manufactured higher performance cars that won consecutive victories from 1927 to 1930 at the 24 hours of Le Mans. Woolf Barnato, staying a motorist himself, tried to keep the company in good shape although it meant applying most of his wealth, but the costly parts and upkeep of the Bentleys could not withstand the wonderful depression and was eventually sold to Rolls-Royce in 1931.
Upon Rolls-Royce’s acquisition of the firm, it had been renamed Bentley Motors Limited. The old Bentley customer’s didn’t like the new Bentley as it had been perceived as being a less expensive Rolls-Royce since it resembled the Rolls’ shape and exterior, all the same, some liked the new version. Eventually, sales dropped for both the Rolls-Royce and the Bentley and the firm was acquired by Vickers.
In 1998, the business was won by Volkswagen from a war bid with BMW, but the two businesses have found a way to come up with an arrangement for each companies to have a role from the manufacturing and retention on the brand from the Rolls-Royce types.
Getting a top of the line, high effectiveness engine high-class automobile, Bentleys are still thought to be about the most prestigious manufacturers in the world. It truly is even now becoming applied to race at the Le Mans Series. And because Volkswagen is the new mum or dad of the company, we can anticipate to see modern products to appear out below the Bentley title, possibly a hybrid model or even an SUV inside the short term.
